Romania — and Eastern Europe as a whole — is seriously lagging the rest of the world in disc golf infrastructure. We need courses with permanent baskets in urban parks, in forests, in the mountains, in adventure parks. Everywhere.

Our partner and recommended shop for players in Romania. Great prices, fast shipping anywhere in the country, and instant delivery in Bucharest when stock is available.
If you're traveling around Europe, keep an eye out for local disc golf stores. There's nothing quite like holding a disc in your hand and feeling the plastic and the rim before you buy — and many shops also carry used discs at friendly prices, which is a great way to try out different molds without breaking the bank. A perfect souvenir from your trip, too.
There are plenty of well-stocked disc golf shops across Europe that ship to Romania, so browse around and find your favorite.
Most major disc brands run their own online stores, so you can order straight from the source.
Avoid no-name discs sold in hypermarkets, general sporting goods stores, or random online marketplaces. If it's not from a reputable disc golf manufacturer, it's not worth your time or money — these discs fly poorly, feel wrong in the hand, and will only frustrate you. Your first impression of disc golf deserves a real disc.

The final chapter of Disc Golf Romania's 2026 European AmTour campaign brings us to Denmark for the Hillerød Open — and we've saved the toughest challenge for last. With one of the most competitive fields of the entire AmTour season, this is where the tour's best amateur players converge for a fitting grand finale, and where every shot will need to be earned. Denmark is disc golf country in every sense of the word. With hundreds of courses woven into the fabric of everyday life and a deep, thriving community that has embraced the sport like few others in Europe, playing here feels like stepping into disc golf's natural habitat. The courses are beautiful, the competition is fierce, and the standard is high — exactly the kind of environment that makes you a better player. For Disc Golf Romania, this is more than just another tournament stop. It's the culmination of a season spent crossing borders, meeting communities, collecting points, and proving that Romanian disc golf belongs on the European stage. Whatever the scorecard says at the end, the journey from Lainate to Vilnius to Copenhagen will have written a story worth telling. Everything on the line. Let's finish strong. 🇩🇰
Ten weeks of throwing, competing, and building memories have led to this. The Grand Finale of the Verdi Park Spring Turn is the moment where it all comes together — the week where scores are settled, champions are crowned, and the story of our inaugural spring league writes its final chapter. Give it everything you've got on the course, because every throw counts. Whether you're fighting for the top spot on the podium or finishing strong after a season of growth and good rounds, this is the week to leave it all on the fairway. Once the last disc lands in the basket and the scores are finalized, we gather together for an award ceremony to celebrate the champions of each division and recognize the players who made this season what it was. Expect good company, well-deserved recognition, and the kind of shared joy that only ten weeks of weekly disc golf can build. See you at the finish line.
The Transylvania Open is a historic moment for disc golf in Europe — the first ever PDGA sanctioned tournament held in Romania. Taking place at Hillside Transylvania, the country's only permanent basket course, this C-tier event is an open invitation to the entire European disc golf community to come and be part of something truly special. Located just outside Odorheiu Secuiesc, a charming resort town nestled in the Transylvanian mountains, this is more than a tournament — it's a chance to explore one of Europe's most fascinating and unspoiled regions while competing on a beautiful course. Romania is ready to put itself on the disc golf map, and we want you there when it happens. Participants can take advantage of special accommodation rates at the nearby Pensiunea Trăsura - Hintó Panzió, making it easy to turn your tournament weekend into a full mountain getaway. Don't miss your chance to be among the first international players to compete on Romanian soil.
Some tournaments are about points and podiums. Some are about something more. The Bulgarian Open is both — and by now, it's become one of the most cherished dates on the Disc Golf Romania calendar. This will be our third consecutive year making the trip south to Bulgaria, and what started as a competitive outing has grown into a genuine tradition. A tradition of great disc golf, warm hospitality, and the kind of cross-border friendship that makes this community so special. Our Bulgarian brothers have built something truly wonderful, and every year we are proud to be part of it. September in Bulgaria also means one more thing: the beach. With summer making its final stand on the Black Sea coast, there is no better way to close out the season than throwing disc, chasing scores, and then watching the sunset over the water with good people by your side. The competition is real, but so is the joy of just being there. Three years. Three trips. The same excitement every single time. Here's to the Bulgarian Open 2026 — see you on the course, and on the beach. 🇧🇬🌊
The Bucharest Open brings PDGA sanctioned disc golf to the heart of Romania's capital, with Verdi Park serving as the stage for Bucharest's first ever competitive disc golf event. As the home course of the Disc Golf Romania community, Verdi Park holds a special place in the story of the sport's growth in Romania — and now it's ready to welcome the European disc golf community. But Bucharest is so much more than a backdrop. One of Eastern Europe's most vibrant and dynamic capitals, the city offers an incredible food scene, buzzing nightlife, stunning architecture, and a warm, welcoming culture that will make every visitor feel right at home. Whether you're exploring the old town's winding streets, sampling traditional Romanian cuisine, or discovering the city's thriving café culture, there is no shortage of ways to make the most of your time here. Come for the disc golf, stay for the city. The Bucharest Open is your invitation to experience Romania's capital at its finest — and to compete alongside the community that is building this sport from the ground up.
The heat is fading, the leaves are turning, and disc golf season has one more chapter to write. The Verdi Park Autumn Fade kicks off ten weeks of league play that will take you on a journey through the full spectrum of Romanian autumn — and everything that comes with it. The early weeks will reward you with crisp golden mornings, stunning foliage, and some of the most beautiful conditions you'll ever play disc golf in. But as the league advances towards December, the real test begins. Rain-soaked fairways, swirling winds, and biting cold will separate the committed from the casual, turning every round into a battle not just against your fellow players, but against the elements themselves. This is disc golf in its rawest form. The kind that builds character, sharpens your game, and makes the good rounds feel even better. Layers are encouraged. Waterproof bags are highly recommended. Excuses are not accepted. With divisions for every skill level, the Autumn Fade welcomes everyone — whether you're chasing a championship or simply refusing to let the cold weather steal your weekends. Ten weeks of community, competition, and the quiet satisfaction of being the one who showed up when the weather told you to stay home. Fade never looked so good.
You made it. Ten weeks of golden mornings, muddy fairways, howling winds, and frozen fingers have brought you here — to the Grand Finale of the Verdi Park Autumn Fade. This is the week where the toughest, most dedicated players in the Disc Golf Romania community find out what all that suffering was worth. Every throw of the season has counted. Every soggy round, every wind-beaten approach, every putt made with numb fingers — it all comes down to this. Leave everything on the course one last time, because the leaderboard waits for no one. And once the last disc rattles the chains and the final scores are tallied, we gather together for something truly special. As December closes in and the holiday spirit takes over, our award ceremony comes with a little extra magic this year — mysterious boxes will be making an appearance, and let's just say that what's inside might put a smile on your face just in time for Christmas. 🎁 Whether you're stepping onto the podium or cheering on those who are, this is a celebration of everyone who showed up week after week and refused to let the Romanian autumn win. Ten weeks. Every condition imaginable. One community standing at the finish line together. See you out there. Bring a jacket.
