The Transylvania Open is a historic moment for disc golf in Europe — the first ever PDGA sanctioned tournament held in Romania. Taking place at Hillside Transylvania, the country's first permanent basket course, this C-tier event is an open invitation to the entire European disc golf community to come and be part of something truly special.

Located just outside Odorheiu Secuiesc, a charming resort town nestled in the Transylvanian mountains, this is more than a tournament — it's a chance to explore one of Europe's most fascinating and unspoiled regions while competing on a beautiful course. Romania is ready to put itself on the disc golf map, and we want you there when it happens.

Participants can take advantage of special accommodation rates at the nearby Pensiunea Trăsura - Hintó Panzió, making it easy to turn your tournament weekend into a full mountain getaway. Don't miss your chance to be among the first international players to compete on Romanian soil.

Schedule & details

• Friday, 7 August — practice day, players' meeting and barbecue
• Saturday, 8 August — Round 1 from 9:00, Round 2 from 14:00
• Sunday, 9 August — Round 3 from 11:00

Format: 3 rounds, PDGA C-tier, amateur divisions MA1, FA1, MA2 and FA2. Entry fee: 20 EUR. Registration closes on 7 August at 20:00 EEST. Tournament Director: Alexandru Cioacă.
